1. Liability
- Work done at the client’s own risk. However, in case of damage to specimen due to fire, work stoppage, strike, theft, act of God or any cause whatsoever, we agree to return the deposit in full settlement of any claim.
- We are not liable for any hair slip on trophies as this is mainly caused by poor or negligent field preparation. See important Notice on Website addressed to PH and Outfitters.
- It is the client’s responsibility to ensure we are supplied by the correct and active contact details. Should details change, Zululand Taxidermy needs to be notified in writing as soon as possible. All notifications and communication will continue with addresses supplied to us by the client.
- Should the address change and we were not notified by this in writing the client will have no legal claim against Zululand Taxidermy, its owners or employees.
- Zululand Taxidermy reserves the right to sell, destroy and or charge storage fees from clients if the account is not settled within two months of notification of completion, or the timeframe agreed upon in advance.
2. Documentation
- It is the client’s responsibility to supply us with his contact and shipping details. It is the Outfitters responsibility to make sure that the clients details supplied to us and all relevant paperwork correspond with the information.
- We require a copy of the following documents from the Hunting Outfitter, to be able to legally export your trophies.
a. Full Name and Surname of the client.
b. Shipping address.
c. Hunting register.
d. Transfer of hunting rights.
e. Exemption permits.
f. HO License if hunting in another province.
g. PH license if hunt takes place in another province.
h. Fencing permits where dangerous game is concerned.
i. Transport permits for all species that are specially protected and must be accompanied
by such a permit during transfer.
j. TOPS permits for all such species.
k . Copy of the client’s passport as countries do not accept import documentation if the
spelling etc. on the export permits are not correct. Hunting licenses in the client’s name
should also be spelled according to his passport information.
3. Financial terms and additional costs
- Taxidermy work will only commence once all instructions are received, and deposit paid by the client. The deposit amount is normally 50% of the full settlement.
- Once the client is notified that his/her order is completed we require the full balance payment before the crating of the trophies will commence.
- Full mounted trophies include a natural sandy base. All extra base work like frames and special plants will be charged at an extra cost.
- Back skins (rugs) of animals for tanning will be charged at 50% of the flat skin (rug) price.
- Half mounts are charged at 60% of fully mounted prices.
- Back shields from solid indigenous wood will be charged and additional 15% of the mounting charge.
- Pedestal mounts are charged the same as shoulder mounts, however an additional charge will be levied for the pedestal manufactured by us if required by the client.
- Export documentation is charged at $ 100.00 per client. Export documentation is not included in our taxidermy prices therefor it is irrelevant if clients are shipping together, their documentation fee is on an individual account and will be charged accordingly.
- All Cites animals export documentation will have an additional charge of $ 150.00 on top of the documentation charge.
- Indigenous wood that is classified under Cites will have an additional $100.00 charge as this is a different category.
- After completion of work the client will be notified. This balance payment must be settled within 2 months after notification or otherwise prior agreed upon. Storage fees will be charged after 2 moths of notification.
